Residency question

I made it into UCLA (Bioengineering). After the initial rush, I hunkered down and thought about how I was going to tackle the transition from CC to a UC.

I started filling out my SIR when I got to a group of questions, and I realized, I haven’t lived in California three years, I don’t have a California ID card, and my checking account was started in another state.

To put this into perspective, I graduated from a California high school in 2002, but enlisted in the USAF from 2003 to 2007. After my contract ended, I came back to California, and have been living, voting, and paying state taxes while attending school on my GI Bill.

I remember reading that California High School graduates my be exempted from out of state tuition rates, but there’s still that nagging fear… How do I check what my rate will be?

I’ve been to [UCLA Undergrad Admissions: New Bruins - Fees and Billing Statement](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/NewBruins/FeesBill.htm), but I can’t seem to access my billing info, at least just yet.

So… how am I going to find out what my status will be? Any help is appreciated.

similar situation here:
graduated from CA high school in 03, joined the Navy from 03 to 07. but i think your residency was still in CA during your tour in the military.
oh, I also got in UCLA for EE. I chose Berkeley for EECS, though.
good luck there.
