I’ve read the rule n I’m sure I read a clause there which says sumthign about ur situation it says that if uve been a CA resident for a long time n if ur parents decide to shift as long as u continyue to live in CA and have documentation to prove it (ID,voting reg. etc. ) u shud b able to maintain ur in-state status…still i recommend u to go thru the rule on UCSD office ofthe registrar’s website…

i think there was something about finishing high school in CA (?)

if i had a relative who lived in ca but i lived in ma, is it possible for me to get residency status?

i think you need to have graduated from a CA high school and have to have attended school here for the past 2 years… or something like that

keneth2005 ur rite about that…i didn’t mention it since i assumed the 10 years uve lived in CA has included ur attendace to high-school…

popoohead:no i dont think its possible…ur residency is determined by the state where ur parents pay their taxes…

u can have ur relatives at CA adopt uu but according to residency laws there’s a catch that says the adoption by guardian who’s a CA resident must not be done 2 years(at least, not sure about the number) prior to enrollment at a college in CA…check the CA residency laws at the website of the office of the registrar
