Residency?

Paying for College

Hello,
I was a previous Michigan resident but moved overseas because of my father’s job.

  • My father still files taxes for michigan
-We still own property in Michigan.

Is there a chance that I will be considered an in-state student at umich?

The best way to find out is to talk to the school but this web site was set up for just such circumstances:
[Residency - Office of the Registrar](Residency | Office of the Registrar)

How long have you lived overseas? The fact that you are graduating from a high school not in the State of Michigan means they will automatically question it. Depends on what the answers are whether they consider you a resident, but I must say: doesn’t look good.
