Residency

Hey I don’t know if this is a really stupid question and I don’t mean to offend anyone but is there any way to establish residency/pay instate if I go to UCSB?

It’s difficult, but here’s all you need to know:

[Establishing California Residence for Tuition Purposes, Office of the Registrar](404 - Page Not Found)

its pretty much impossible to change your residency status once you matriculate.
if you are paying OOS, you r stuck there

I’m having a problem with my residency, the thing says “NO VALID QUARTER FOUND” even though i’ve submitted my sir 21 days ago

The thing is due May 1

What to do??

Call them…

The bottom line is, unless you have a special case, you have to be a CA resident for one year. I’m moving the California after graduation with full intentions of becoming a resident so I’ll only have to pay OOS for my first year.
