Resident Honors Program and full-tuition merit scholarship?

Is it possible to be accepted to the RHP and get one of the full-tuition merit scholarships?

I know RHP students get one-quarter tuition, but unfortunately that is not enough to make it affordable.

Yes. RHP students are eligible for financial aid and merit scholarships. From the RHP FAQ [FAQ > USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences](http://dornsife.usc.edu/res-honors-faqs/) :

I dont believe so. I remember looking into it and it said even if one has a qualified national merit score, they would only give the half tuition after the first year. They are not treating you as a freshman at all during the first year.

Nevermind - looks like they have since changed the verbage.

^ The verbage has not changed. RHP have always been eligible for Trustee and the “regular” Presidential. They give the National Merit Presidential after the first year because the qualifying score can only be obtained during the junior year and the designation is not made until the following year. In other words, RHP students by definition cannot yet have been named NMF until their second year at USC. When they are named NMF they receive the scholarship.
