Residential Colleges!!!

Silliman is awesome! Anyone who gets in there should feel very lucky.

Berkeley is nice, but has little college pride

Anyone know anything about Branford (besides the courtyard)!?

did anyone receive his/her package today?

no, did you?

nope… my mailman officially thinks i’m on crack

I realize that Morse may not have the Gothic or Georgian architecture that some people look for at Yale, but you shouldn’t at all be disappointed about being in Morse. Durfee is, arguably, the best freshman housing at Yale. Because of Morse’s architecture and the fact that the college is mostly singles, there were only six rising sophomores this year who were forced into doubles. Everyone else who wanted a single got one. That can’t be said about any other college. Also, the Morse community, at least in 08, was particularly tight. After BK 08, my favorite college class is probably MC 08.

I feel like getting your college assignment is just like getting your first impression of a university - they’re not always correct. I mean, look at New Haven. Most people get a so-so first impression of Yale as they drive through New Haven for the first time, but it turns out that Yale is the best place ever. Like people say, nearly everyone loves his or her college. The only people who often feel less connected are the athletes who never eat in their college dining hall.

Apparently some Pierson and Silliman people from livejournal have received their rc assignments in the mail today. I’m getting so impacient waiting for the other ones to arrive!!

Ugh, I feel like the only person on the planet who doesn’t know their RC. All I know is that I’m definitely not in Silliman… and my best friend is, so says girl on LJ. I wanted silliman damnit. balls. i’m gonna get stuck in stiles, i know it.

my friend (class of '08) is in stiles and he really likes it… his suite is def the best out of the ones i’ve seen… what’s wrong with stiles though?

stiles is ugly and modern. although stiles frosh housing is unbelievable.

so which one is better? morse or stiles?

i hear morse is better… don’t know why though. i think they’re both ugly. but it is pretty sick that they’re mostly singles… so getting morse or stiles wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. i’d just rather not. i hate waiting for mail. i’m so impatient. all i know is that i’m not in silliman, branford, JE, or calhoun…

Hey Danielle, check the LJ site. People who have lists are posting them. There is a chance that you can find out your residential college before the mail comes.

What/where is the “LJ site”?
