I’m in Morse. I was looking at some pictures a while ago thinking, “wow, what an ugly college, I hope I’m not in that one,” and now I am! Oh well, I’ve grown to accept it and now am pretty excited.

I want my mailing! :[

I’m in trumbull.
Woot. I’ll get brand spankin’ new dorm rooms next year when i move in. Hey, that’s pretty exciting. Although i don’t know much else about trumbull. Just that the library is next to it. So i’m wondering if there’s anything else i should get excited over?

I’m in Saybrook. Wooo!

Can anyone tell me which of the Res. Colleges do NOT live on Old Campus their first year?

Silliman and Timothy Dwight I believe

again, thanks very much

has anyone not recieved their package yet? the mail just came, and it still hasnt come… :(

old campus is overrated. It’s far better to live in your college your first year. In fact, that was the way Yale intended the college system to work, but later realized that they couldn’t fit everyone in. My friends that lived on old campus knew NO upperclassmen in their colleges. But when you live in the college your first year, it definately promotes a better college atmosphere and college spirit.

Plus, not living on Old Campus means you get the best of both worlds. You get access to everything in your college without needing to walk to it, but you also get access to events and parties on old campus as well.

take it from a current yalie that didn’t live on the OC. I’m not saying old campus is bad, but it is far overrated among incoming students.

you get renovated rooms in your sophomore year because renovations are going on this coming year in trumbull.

some Silliman freshmen will also get renovated dorms because they are renovating the Silliman Tower this summer. Since Silliman is so big, they have to split it up into parts to renovate. Silliman will be closed down to get the entire renovation 2006-2007 school year and when it opens, it’s gonna be the most incredible college at Yale. Since it’s so big, there’s so much room to add in cool stuff.

good because the dorms in that tower were absolutely disgusting. they were big, but nasty!

What can people tell me about Durfee (the dorm not the shop haha)?
