Anyone ever taken a residual ACT? I’m taking one Tuesday and wondering what they’re like…

what’s a residual ACT?

^it is offered at a college and only valid at that college. Apparently they are much easier than the real one.

I actually wanted to start a thread about how I think that they are unfair…someone I know had a 18 national and 27 residual…they got scholarships based on the residual. if it hadn’t been for that score, they wouldn’t have got what they did. I just think it’s an unfair advantage.

well, that’s dumb… how come they are easier?

^It is supposed to only be used for admission. Some places use it for more than that…they just want to make sure that you can get into their college.

Residuals are the exact same thing as a national…i just took one today…i got a 32 on it which is 1 better than my previous best score…its not easier or any of that…thats just crap

Is the only point to the residual ACT is that you can walk in at any time versus having to take it on a certain date?

Because really, there doesn’t seem like there’s any other benefit considering your scores are only valid at one school.

exactly atrophicwhisper…it was just good practice and i already know where im going to school at so i figured why not
