response

My D has 4.1 GPA and 1220 in Math and reading in SAT. I dont think she can get financial aid based on need. I am trying to apply for the merit based financial aids, but am unable to give a sensible response to the question " how would this financial aid help the student’s career or eductaion". The only answer I have is it will ease the burden, but I don’t think that will fly. Can anyone pass some hints on how to answer this Question?
Thanks

Well, first of all, it should be your daughter applying and answering the questions, not you. Not knowing your financial situation, it is hard to say how you can truthfully anwer the question. If it will make it possible for her to take part in different activities/classes/opportunities that would otherwise be unaffordable, that would be a possible answer. Or it might make it possible for her to devote more time to a passion she is pursuing in college, since she would not have to do work study. Or she would not face the future with a ton of loans.

If you can afford to pay for everything without the aid, however, that may be a difficult question to answer.
