<p>I’ve spent July reviewing everything from math, and I’ve read all of Gruber’s + done the online quizzes for the math portion. I took the SAT once already in Jan., scored a 1900 (CR: 680, Writing: 590, Math: 630). In the BB, i’ve done the first 4 tests about and I’m saving the rest for the month or two before October …</p>
<p>I’m wondering … I’m reviewing vocab every day and also reading some novels/newspapers every day … should/do I actually spend time “reviewing” CR like I have been with math? Should I just devote this time to reviewing grammar basics? </p>
<p>I was thinking … August would be spent for reviewing a mixture of writing/CR with some math portions thrown in from Gruber’s tests. Then Sept. would be solely for just doing practice tests from the BB?</p>
<p>Any tips or suggestions would be great!</p>

<p>I was exactly like you; in fact my first SAT score was a 1900 lol. I also was relying on the October exam to be my best score because I would send it to colleges. As far as math goes, I think you’re prepared. Let me tell you this; my biggest regret is critical reading. If I had just studied it a little bit harder, I would have had an amazing score. I strongly suggest you go all out with critical reading. Get Direct Hits Vol. 1 and 2 and start on it. Get it, and start studying my friend. Do vocab intense every day. Now you will get a strong hold over your vocabulary. </p>
<p>As far as Critical Reading passage questions go, I suggest you get a practice SAT book (Kaplan, PR, etc.) and just do isolated CR sections. Do them untimed at first until you really get a good grasp on them. Once you master CR (easily getting 700+) get back to the blue book. I used BB exams on Saturday mornings prior to the official exam. I replicated testing conditions in my house (with breaks and all timed sections) and would take the exam starting at 8am. Your math is great, you just need to focus on the CR now. Hope I helped, best of luck :)!</p>

<p>So basically what I’m doing now is working on specific sections I’m BAD at. So set a goal (like 600 or 650 or whatever) and then work on the sectionuuntil you have a firm grasp of it.</p>
