<p>Denied - 3.5 GPA/28 ACT - not surprising, as it was our reach school. I told my D that if we don’t get rejected, sorry, denied, somewhere, we probably didn’t do the college search correctly.</p>

Christopher Newport - Accepted
Kentucky - Accepted
George Mason - Accepted
JMU - Accepted
Va Tech - Waitlisted
Richmond - Waitlisted
W&M - Denied</p>
<p>This is exactly the hierarchy that I deduced prior to doing all of this. I think it is fair. My D had terrible grades her Freshman year - 2.7. And even though she pulled them all the way up to a 4.1 for her first semester Senior year, it would be unfair to categorize her with the overall 4.0 students as they worked and achieved throughout their entire high school career. We are very satisfied and it shows how some of the little things we DID do, helped us climb into a school we both really like, that being Madison.</p>
