Major is Neuroscience. Hoping to minor in Spanish. Also I’ll be PreMed.

Accepted: Colgate (attending), Vassar, Union, Fordham, Miami U (Ohio)
Waitlisted: Hamilton, Carleton, U of Richmond, Dickinson, Rochester
Denied: WashU, Case Western Reserve (deferred then denied), Vanderbilt, Tulane (Deferred then denied), Rice, Northwestern

I’m posting this for kids with similar stats so they can help gauge where they could possibly get accepted.
I received a decent amount of money at the schools that I was accepted to. I feel like I was deferred from Dickinson and Richmond because I didn’t show any interest. I didn’t accept my place on any of the waitlists.

I felt like my common app essay was very good. Colgate even wrote a personal note about it in my admissions packet.

Large public high school; very diverse
200k income. Applied for FA. Brother in college

Extracurriculars: 2 summer jobs. ~45 hours a week. Travel baseball for 6 years. Did this every summer until I started working. Varsity Baseball all 4 years. Captain senior year. BEE leader (freshman mentor). Student Athlete Leadership Team. Piano lessons for 4 years. Summer Baseball for school every year.

@zbthsjunior , thanks for posting. It’s very helpful for future applicants.

Just curious: will you play baseball at Colgate? Do you think the travel and varsity baseball experience helped in the application process?

Also, give the $200K income, how much FA did the schools give you?

I’m not playing varsity baseball at Colgate (They actually don’t even have a team lol) but I might play club.

Since my brother is in college, both Colgate and Vassar gave me around 35000$

Bumping in case anyone wants to see this

Colgate is a very decent school.
