Resume for low extra circ

Hi there - my son is a Junior and he is working on putting together his resume. He goes to a magnet marine biology school, solid GPA and solid SATs however not very active. I want to make sure he includes everything possible on his resume and does not miss something that we do not realize can be included.
Thus far he has:
sports (only one year)
school clubs
employment (minimal)
Junior ROTC - part of the school curriculum
Volunteer events

Is there anything else you can think of that he can pull from his hat? Things that perhaps students often forget to include? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
-Linda

Religious community engagement? Long time hobbies (fishing, gardening, cooking, photography, carpentry, etc…) that he pursues individually or as part of your family’s interests? Anything he’s self-studied and achieved some proficiency in - a language, a skill? What did he do over the last few summers?

He doesn’t need a ton of things - just a few that he genuinely cares about - and even then, only if he’s applying to the schools for which ECs matter.
