Retake a 2110?

For my March test I got a 2020 overall (600cr 750m 670w 8essay)
For June I got a 2110 overall (600cr 790m 720w 8essay)

Should I give the October SAT a shot to increase my CR and essay scores? These two sections are what I focused most on between March and June, but I ended up getting the same scores. I know an 8 essay is pretty lousy, but I thought I had written so much better.

My parents are against my taking the October SAT because they find that itll be no use. However, they have agreed to allow me to take the ACT in September, but will the trend be the same? Is it worth it?

For extra reference, the schools I plan applying to in the fall are as follows:

Penn (high reach)
Johns Hopkins (reach)
Penn State (match)
Villanova (match)
Drexel (safety)

I have decent ECs (volunteering, leadership positions, no internships/Harvard workshops) and a 3.93 GPA. I plan on pursuing a career in medicine or medical engineering. Also, I’m an Asian Female from Pennsylvania.

Thank you for reading, and I appreciate all responses!

Take an ACT practice test. If you score substantially higher on the ACT than on the SAT then it’s really up to you whether or not to retake the SAT. You can take the SAT a max of 3 times so once again, it’s up to you.

If you have the time and motivation, you can do whatever you want; it’s totally up to you. I agree with the above about the ACT; get the red practice book by the official test makers and do all of the tests as you near your test date. Btw your scores are still great; don’t let the rest of collegeconfidential get you down since they do not represent the average student.

okay thanks! i’ll pick up the official ACT study guide, and I’ll also take a look at Princeton Review’s book of practice questions

Critical Reading is the easiest one! You can definitely improve that score. Do so if you’d like, but only if you’d like. Otherwise, you won’t be too motivated to study anyways.
