so for sept i got all 36 but a 33 in science. i wanna get into some top tier math/science schools (caltech, mit, etc.), and im wondering if the 33 in sciencell kill me. i was sick that day and became fatigued so im confident i can get at least a 36 in science and probably a 35 composite, but would it be worth 45 bucks?

no, a 35 is good enough for any institute of higher learning in the world. actually a 33 composite is acceptable for anywhere in the world so don’t worry. the 35 is awesome.

wow only a 35…? You need at least a 38 on science to get into MIT…if I were you I would spend even 450 bucks to improve only my science because that’s all that matters in my life.

I’d love to get a 33, much less a 35. Relax, you’re lucky.

A 35 is good enough for anywhere. However, if I were sure I could get a 36 and had $45 and a Saturday morning to spare, I’d give it a shot.

im thinking about it mostly cuz of caltech, and how it has crazy high expectations for math/science scores. or does the fact that science isnt really pure science make a difference in this situation?

35 is fine. Don’t worry about it.

If you didn’t notice, a person who has proficient logic skills as well as the ability to analyze and interpret graphs can get a 36 on science even if they don’t even know what a mitochondria is.

I agree with everyone else, retaking a 35 is pretty much pointless. Relax and put your time to better use.

just go with the 35. afterall, i wouldn’t want to donate another 45 bucks to any of the standardized testing institutes seeing as i don’t agree with their philosophy. :/

Dont’ try your luck. Miss one question on science and you could end up with a 34 depending on the curve, and one question wrong on any other section(you could get unlucky and come across some crazy trig questions on Math that you can’t get) and you’re back to your 35.

But hey, look at it like this: What else would you be doing on a Saturday morning at 8 AM? 36 and 35 are almost the same thing, but 36 still has that “OH, he’s one of those 400 that got it!”, so maybe you could if you have nothing else to do.

People like you annoy the crap outta me.
