Retake the ACT?

I am a current senior living in Minnesota and I will be attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for PSEO full time. I received a 29 on the ACT. I have a 3.8 GPA. I would like to be an engineer and attend the University of Minnesota TC College of science and engineering. What worries me is that I received a 25 on the reading and math sections of the ACT, even though I do really well in those classes. I got a 33 on the english and 32 on science. Should I retake the ACT to be a competent applicant to the University of Minnesota science engineering program?

don’t take this the wrong way but i’m suprised someone set on engineering would get a 25 on the act math

Yes, you should retake the ACT. Your math score is inadequate.

When I retake the ACT, do I also need to retake the writing, I feel that my 8 is adequate. Will colleges take the writing score from one test and pair it with another?
