Retake the SAT for HS Senior?

The questions pretty simple, but I suspect if has a rather complex answer. Should I, a graduating high school senior who is enrolling at UWash this fall, retake the SAT?

I got a 2000: 740M, 660R, 600W and I’m rather disappointed with that score. I didn’t put enough effort into it, bottom line. I know that I’m more than capable of getting an 800M, I’ve heard that writing is rather easy to raise to a 700, and I see no reason why I couldn’t bump the reading up to 700.

Anyway, let’s say I could get a 2200 on a retake. Do I ever need to send SAT score again? If I transfer? Graduate school? Random programs? Scholarship applications after my freshman year in College?

Thanks for your help!

it might help you qualify for some grants and if youre already accepted it cant hurt you (even if somehow your score came out lower) BUT i would not autosend scores to your college. wait and see how they turn out first.
