Retake the SAT?

I took the SAT back in March and scored a 720CR, 650M, 700W. Since I’m trying to get somewhere into the top 20 colleges, I studied for a couple of months and came back with a 740CR, 800M, 740W. I have decent ECs: Eagle Scout, President of Debate, Texas All-State Choir; and am also in the top 10% of my class. Assuming I have good recs and can craft an average essay, would it be imperative that I break 2300 or try to get a 1600 in order to have a decent shot at HYPS?

Other scores, if they help:

SAT Subjects: Math IIC: 740, US History: 790, Chemistry: 750.
ACT: Composite: 34 (35E, 35M, 35R, 31S, essay-10)

My two cents: absolutely without a doubt sit on those scores. They are outstanding, and will only help you to get into any college or university. You’re done testing (until you want to go to grad school  )
