Retake?

So I took the Math 2 subject test on October 2nd… Or whatever the day in October was.

I’m pretty sure I didn’t do as well as I hoped: I skipped several (probably close to ten) questions and guessed on another several…

Saying I get in the 600s, do you think I should retake it? I can’t do it in November (cross country state) and so my only chance would be in December. There’s a Quiz Bowl that I would like to attend that Saturday. I got a 720 on the normal SAT math section, and a 5 on the AP Calculus AB test.

The colleges that want subject tests that I’m applying to are Brown, Pomona, Harvey Mudd, and Carnegie Mellon (H&SS).

Good thing about the math sat 2 is that you can omit and miss several problems like 5 or 6 and still get an 800 so if at worst you get a scaled score of 35 you’ll still be in the 700’s but places like harvey mudd place great emphasis on scoring high in the math section like 760-780 while pomona, brown and those other schools wouldn’t mind 700 area scores. So if you really feel like you want to attend harvey mudd then go for it its a great private school in california with networking opportunities to get you a job. Also when they see you got a 5 on the AP calc exam they might be more lenient towards you but be warned you will be competing against ppl who got a 5 on the Calc BC exam. good luck
