I plan on retaking a 2190:

Math = 790
CR = 730
Writing = 670

Math, obviously, isn’t an issue.

Critical reading my performance is always inconsistent, sometimes great, sometimes terrible. I got all the sentence completions correct. I need help with the passages. Does anyone know some really good books that have lots of tips, tricks, and practice questions.

Writing is always bad for some reason. Now the essay is fine; I have never had issues with it. However, for some reason I always do terrible on multiple choice. DOes anyone know stuff that would help with that.

just go over the grammar rules. practice, practice, and practice. I got a 710 on my writing and only 3 wrong.

your scores are top notch already though.

you are in luck though cause writiing is the easiest to improve on the three sections. just takes work. besides, most colleges don’t look at writing at all or is weighed a lot less than reading/math.

Thanks! But do you know of any books that are specific to CR and writing that are good, or that at least have sections known to be helpful?

I am also retaking a 2190 in October! Nice to know that somebody else is in the same boat
Personally, I love Princeton Review, both their SAT prep courses and their books.
