Retaking classes - technical question

<p>To cut a long story short:

  1. So I had gotten my first F as I slept through my Econ 100b macro final lol and they don’t want to negotiate.
  2. I’ll have to retake it, esp. since the major I have decided on has both 100/101 econs as requirements.
  3. I’ve done Math 53 since, so I can take the 101 series instead of the 100 now.
  4. Question - if I take Econ 101b instead of 100b, will the result I get there displace the F from 100b (they are after all very related classes)? Or do I <em>have</em> to specifically retake 100b to get rid of the F?

<p>im pretty sure you have to retake the same exact class to replace the F on your transcript…they don’t really care if they are similar, especially since they show up as distinct courses on your transcript.</p>
