Thank you, GreatAmerican. My d (a 2012 candidate) and I are learning so much from your posts!

Dr. Garrett is an amazing person. I am happy for his retirement and long time service, but I am sad to see him go. He really cared about each MIDN and wanted them to learn as much as he could teach. In the one semester I had him, he struck me as a remarkable person and always seemed interested in everyone. He also had a sense of humor and a liking for telling “USNA sea stories…When I was a MIDN.”

He epitomized what it meant to be an officer and a gentleman.
