Reusable Ziploc Type Bags

Amazon recommendations for reusable snack /sandwich/ gallon type bags and that can go in the dishwasher???

Or a set???

No suggestions. I just wash my Ziplocs and dry them over a wine bottle to reuse. :joy:

Stasher bags are the best! The biggest ones are half gallon, I think. I have sandwich and snack size ones but my favorite ones are the stand-up ones. I have seen them at Target but I think you get a better deal from the company on their website. ETA they do have them at Amazon but I think the prices are a bit better from Stasher, especially with the sale bundles.

Yeah I’d prefer something I can put in the dishwasher - silly maybe but I can’t stand the thought of bags drying out everywhere!

I got these:

I really like them.

Second the recommendation for Stasher storage bags–quart. I got them online.

I have the Stasher bags. I don’t love them. I don’t feel like they get clean enough.

I know the Stasher bags are sort of a gold standard - open to those or others

I don’t put plastic in dishwasher or microwave.

Search Ikea zip bags, are really good, probably you can wash it.

I’ve bought little brown paper sandwich bags. Or I use ziploc and do what @taverngirl does.

I have silicone covers for bowls and such, and I just put them in the dishwasher. I also have waxed cotton wrappers which have worked pretty well for a while, but they aren’t working so well for covering bowls these days after quite lot of use. I think they are still good for wrapping sandwiches.

My D has tried several and thinks Stasher is the best

I have small containers for things like salad dresssing, condiments etc that i use over and over. Because I bring my breakfast and lunch to work I need to store things like a 1/2 cup berries, granola for my yogurt, veggie sticks - stuff like that where I can’t use a Tupperware item for each or I’d have like 10 containers to haul but I’m feeling wasteful using a couple of ziplock bags each time and tossing

So the reusable bags are what I’m looking for. Paper bags and such do have their place!

I’d like to know also. I had reusable bags that I picked up at TJ Maxx but they didn’t open wide and seemed hard to clean. Never thought about putting them in the dishwasher. So if anyone has ones that can go in the dishwasher!

One of my daughter’s has some that she puts in the dishwasher - they were actually ones I bought her lol at TJ Maxx - but they ones they stock switch all the time so you never know what brand you’ll get!

I ordered some off Amazon (not Stasher) and will report back. If I don’t like the results I’ll try Stasher but they are quite a bit more and I feel like I’d need to invest in a couple of sizes (more $$) to get an idea of if and how I use them.

I will definitely be looking forward to hearing what you think of them @abasket. Also, how they do in the dishwasher. We use way too many disposable zip lock bags and need to cut back.

Has anyone used these for airline travel? As in using a quart size bag for toiletries when going through security? Any issues?

Another good purpose for them @FallGirl!

I have an older set of Stashers. Problem I had with them is the top doesn’t open up wide enough to easily slide a sandwich inside. I like the bags I got from Eco Goods. Both work fine in the dishwasher but I have to set them out for a day to thoroughly dry. If I’m not having a sandwich, I love eating lunch out of a Bento box with removable containers. I can fill it the night before. Microwave one portion if needed. Lunch fits into a container approximately 2 x 6 x 10 and no need for a plate.

I have a variety of Stasher bags in various sizes and use them all the time. I also have a few of those reusable beeswax cloth wraps as well as beeswax bags that I didn’t think I would like but do.
