Reverse Chance Me Please :)

Hello College Confidential! I’m a graduating senior who is taking a gap year and will be applying colleges then. As of now, I am interested in private schools and liberal art schools with the exception of the UC system and UNC Chapel-Hill. Feel free to recommend me any ED and EA schools too.

Academic Stats:

UWGPA: 3.80

WGPA: school does not calculate, but I have taken 9 APs and 4 Honors (It would be around 4.3-4.4?)

SAT: 1410 (M: 740, R&W:670) (my EBR+W score blows but I might retake it if the SAT is offered at the country im going to)

APs Taken: Psychology (5), English Language (4), Biology (3), World History (4)

Awaiting: Calc AB, Government, English Literature, Microeconomics

Will be taking Human Geography and Comparative Gov. abroad (either online or prep book)

Life Outside of School:

Eagle Scout

Currently interning for the CA Governor’s race

Interned for two Congressional campaigns already

Involved in ASB (treasurer)

4-year member of a program where I help kids with mental/psychological stress

4-year member of track (fun fact: I do hurdles)

Student volunteer at local hospital

Interned/volunteered for the Rose Parade

Involved in MUN and Club President for 3 clubs

Link Crew leader for 3 years

Member of National Honors Society and California Scholarship Federation

This summer, I’ll be interning for a television network and strategize plans on how to increase viewership and how to incorporate social media with viewership.

For those interested what I’ll do for a gap year, I am volunteering abroad in a third world country and improve living conditions, specifically reducing the famine problem (hesitant in saying what exact country but it is in Western Africa)

Demographics:

  • I currently go to a public high school in a suburb region outside LA.
  • Biracial (half white and half southeastern asian)
  • Family income of 6: 70k
I plan to major in public policy or political science and I might pick up African studies because I love African literature and culture.

Thanks you guys!
