I am very into liberal arts schools but i don’t really care about location or size
I am looking to have a nice healthy social life

Colgate immediately came to mind but obviously is a “reach for everyone”, though not as reach-y for you since you’ve got a lot of excellent attributes colleges want.

For high matches, Villanova (not a LAC though), Connecticut College, Lafayette, Franklin&Marshall, Denison, Whitman, perhaps Davidson?
Safeties or near safeties (you need to express interest early though): Dickinson, UPuget Sound, DePauw

If you would like to combine these interests, consider colleges that offer a public policy major.

Yes, also consider the interdisciplinary PPE majors (philosophy, politics, and economics). Here is Denison’s for example: Philosophy, Politics & Economics | Denison University A number of high-reach schools have this too, like Pomona, Claremont McKenna, and UPenn. URichmond and UArizona Honors have PPEL (PPE+Law). Tulane has a Political Economy major. Wesleyan has the College of Social Sciences, which students apply to during their first year.

Cornell is launching an entire new School of Public Policy, which will absorb a couple of the existing majors that are currently in the Human Ecology school.

You mentioned merit - Top 10 Liberal Arts Colleges with Merit-Based Scholarships - Credit Sesame

Also, College of Charleston is sort of a mid sized public LAC type (not totally a LAC) and you’d do very well.

Washington & Lee has the Johnson Scholarship - and you should look into that - financially it’s wonderful and you may qualify. 10% of their enrollees do.

Good luck.

UVA, Fordham, Emory, Duke, and UMiami? Not small LAC’s but not huge either. Your social life would be good. Some schools in Boston would be good. Great college city.

What are your in-state options for safeties?

My daughter did double major in Economics and Foreign Affairs from UVA. The faculty and staff are very helpful. The ambiance in the campus is much like an Ivy.
I could be biased!

Good suggestion.
However, for @mal17282 : You asked for targets/safeties, so just to make sure there’s no confusion:
Pomona, McKenna, Penn, URichmond, Colgate, Cornell Public Policy, Washington&Lee, UVA, Emory, and Duke are not targets even with your stats, due to acceptance rate.
Conn, Lafayette, F&M, Denison (PPE), Whitman, are targets if you show interest.
College of Charleston Honors is a safety and you’d get merit aid.

I live in NYC, so I was thinking that CUNY/SUNYs (with exception of like stony brook and bing)

Cuny Baruch Macaulay, SUNY Bing, Geneseo, Albany Honors, while they cannot be considered 100% safety they’re close to it and if you apply to all 4 Honors programs I can’t imagine you wouldn’t get into one at least and I think would likely get into several.
Add College of Charleston Honors and you should be covered. :+1:

Next step, finding good matches/targets…

thanks for all the suggestions! this is super helpful

College of Wooster would be a safety for you, probably, and would likely give you very good merit. They have a Global & International Studies major which is interdisciplinary among economics, political science, and history. I also think their Model UN group is very strong.
