Are there any other 2025 boarding school applicant threads up?

Is this post for 2025 revisit days?

Yes, it’s intended to be. The ones with 2024 dates are just to give the sense of what was done last year (early or late in the ‘season’, how many days were offered) while we wait for this year’s details to become available.

Curious if anyone with experience has tips for internationals? Is there a way to participate virtually? We def can’t attend in person. And my DC has no social media to connect with possible classmates yet. If a kid were to choose a channel, what would it be? Insta? Something else? Thanks.

Adding— if DC can’t attend due to time zone/geography, can a parent attend virtually?

Lawrenceville dates added - much earlier than last year

Note: that one of lville revisit dates may be only for day students they have divided it that way in the past. Currently, the calendar does not indicate if/or which. Good luck to all.

Just curious - how are these confirmed when (some of) the schools have not shared them with applicants? Thank you for compiling!

Some schools tell parents, if you ask. Others are on current school calendars as it affects current classes. Note: Nothing is definitive till they are sent out and of course, only admitted students are invited. When we applied and were accepted most were correct. Either way it helps to plan to some degree where and how you will plot your road trip/time esp if you are traveling. They will officially be out soon enough. But I know the wait seems like forever. Good luck.

Milton?

If a school offers admission to your DC, then they would do anything reasonable to accommodate your needs. Asking for a virtual visit should be within reason, if it is indeed cumbersome for your to travel. The school would also be pleased to connect you with current students and parents, so that you can learn about student life on that campus. It’s interesting how the roles are reversed: Between J15 and M10, you are dying for their approval. After M10, however, they’ll want to lock you in ASAP.

Best of luck with your dream school(s)!

I suspect that many schools have a virtual option. There is on cookie dough’s school.

(Back in 2020 all revisit days were virtual, so now everyone is up to speed with that!)

Insta. Lots of schools wind up with new-admit “class of X” meet-me type accounts, often set up by accepted kids who are 100% committed to a given place.

I’d add that when my kids were at BS most of their communication and coordination with friends was via Insta group chats.

And in the end they created a group text-thread in which they all share locations with one another. They now use it to see who’s around when home on breaks, etc.

Does anyone have the revisit days for Salisbury or Millbrook? Thanks

Is there a dress code for the revisit days at Exeter or Andover?

Andover has, on very short notice, canceled spring visits today and Monday. They have extended their decision deadline to 4/15 and added two more revisit days.Unfortunately, other schools will not wait. I wonder what happened?

Please understand that we made this decision after careful consideration of unforeseen circumstances that require our full attention at this time.

Must be very serious, as people travel from all over the country for these things and this is very short notice indeed.

For exeter just dress comfortably but slightly dressy (no sweats, you’d prob regret suit/tie or a dress but do what you want.) Last year, I just wore jeans and a sweater.
