Revoking Admission?

How much do your grades have to drop 8th sem. before a college will revoke your admission? I know this is pretty rare, but i’ve heard it does happen. For instance, i got into Claremont McKenna college, with a 3.84, definite upward trend, 2 B’s in the past 2 years. This sem, I’m looking at about a 3.3 (C in organic chem, B in statistics, B in algebra 3). Is this a big enough drop?

You are asking the wrong question. Instead of asking how low can I go, you should be asking what do I need to do to bring these grades up. After having worked this hard and come this far, why risk it all for a case of senioritis?

did you still get in?

nicklillie, you aren’t going to get a response from the OP 7 years after this thread was started… you could take a shot at sending a private message to that user, and it might still go to an active email account. Or you could look for other posts by that same user (just click on their name), and you might be able to tell from those.

clicking on the OPs name, she hasn’t been posting here since summer of 2005, so she never even posted once college began. Actually this is a poignant reminder of how fast the years go by! At the time the OP was a worried HS senior and the wait to find out what the college might do was likely excruciating. Yet here we are almost 8 years later and all that worry is probably forgotten; probably a lesson in there about making mountains out of molehills. The OP is 4 years out of college doing lord knows what these days. One hopes it all worked out well, but I bet it did.

nice observation mikemac

Lol I was just curious since I’m going to cmc

I came back after a long hiatus (2005-2012 complete inactivity).
Now I’m clear about trying to help others with what I experienced nine years ago.
I hope everything worked out for her. Hopefully, she’s been a Claremont alumni for 3 and a half years by now.
