Revolution of solid in Princeton Review - Can anyone explain it?

On page 208 and 209 i understand how examples 5 and 6 can be cylindrical shells, but when they get to example 7 on page 210 i don’t understand why that is a cylindrical shell and not a washer (x = y^3, x = y, about the x-axis).

Can anyone explain this please?
