Revolution Prep Practice ACT?

My school has offered two practice ACT tests through Rev Prep, and I was wondering how scores translate to the real ACT. I’ve heard that they go up two points, but I want to be sure because I can’t afford to go down.

My first time:
31 Composite
31 English, 28 Math, 36 Reading, 27 Science

My second time:
32 Composite
31 English, 29 Math, 36 Reading, 31 Science

Full Disclosure: I work for Revolution Prep.

You should expect your practice ACT to give you an accurate measure of how you would perform on the real ACT, all other things being equal. Those other things may include your testing environment, any studying you may do between now and then, your focus level, and the amount of effort you put into this test (and the real one), among other things.

Revolution Prep’s practice exams have the exact same number of the same type of questions as the real ACT. There is no reason that your score would magically go up next time you take the test, except that you’ve had another three hours of practice.

The simple truth is that scores fluctuate. You could score higher on your next test. You could also score lower. This is why I suggest you take the official exam at least twice, to try to get the highest score possible.
