Rhetoric 103A

Do you need to take Rhetoric 10 in order to take Rhetoric 103A? In other words, does Rhetoric 10 prepare you for the latter? Thanks

Rhetoric 103A develops on topics of rhetorical theory that Rhetoric 10 barely touches upon (Plato, Protagoras, sophism, plus some Aristotle). Rhetoric 10 is a very quick introduction to all areas of rhetoric, whereas Rhetoric 103A is exactly the opposite. You will probably only hear a lecture of material from Rhetoric 10 that has to do with 103A, only that 103A will deeply delve into that particular material. I took Rhetoric 10 and Rhetoric 103A concurrently last semester, and got an A- and B+, respectively.

In a more simplified rhetoric tone, Rhetoric 10 is a joke of a class, whereas Rhetoric 103A will murder you if you don’t understand the material.
