nah i really don’t remember requesting information from them. also when used my alt email and submited the form, they sent me an email thanking me for requesting information, and I checked my real email’s history and it was never sent anything like that that (so kinda confirms that I never submitted the form and forgot).

mine has the same status too, but I feel like start.edu statuses have weak correlation to decision outcomes, nothing concrete
right. did you apply to any ivies by chance? if so, does it say the same thing for them? i think its the universal status for all apps

mine are completely unrelated - i applied to nat sci school but my assigned majors are engineering related (granted i do have strong bio and cs ecs and bioengineering is what was assigned to me) is it possible to be admitted to a diff school than the one you applied to? Bc the difference is very strange

thats so weird. Defo makes me think that rice makes their own list of majors they think u are intrested in exploring, and have accidentally connected that to the form. Maybe its a sign of admission, but it very well could not be as well.
i really dont think so unfortunately, i actually tried this out for a few other schools (inc ones that i got rejected from) and they all kinda do the same thing with academic interests, sometimes it was what i indicated other times it wasnt! if it helps, rice hasn’t admitted anyone from my school in the past 5 years (and we usually send ~7-10ish to t20) so im just hoping for the best haha

Keep in mind that Rice does not admit by major or to a school. You don’t have to declare a major until your second semester sophomore year.
