Last year Rice sent an email two days before they released. I’m starting to think it’s not happening tomorrow.

I’m unsure. I’ve received emails in the past, and I was deferred in February, so maybe that has to do with it?
I’d assume everyone who applied regular or got deferred would receive this email

I would too, but I’m not sure what’s going on, so I’m sharing some possibilities. My portal still shows regular decision, so that’s correct, and it’s not like I wasn’t passed through to RD. I did read somewhere that Rice often has issues with its email service and is Notorious for inconsistent emails.

It seems like the internal label is the school instead of the ticket. Like,

Any idea if graduate/Masters applicants and/or Shepherd School of Music are on the same decision timeline as undergrad RD?
I got deferred, and I never received this email. Maybe the portal doesn’t realize that we were not denied in ED (ED 1 for me, ED 2 for you) so it will expect us to assume and send an email like “Application Status Update” when they’re released.
Thank you for the sanity check! I knew it wasn’t really a sign but this week gets away from you. From what I understand, as long as your portal shows “Regular Decision,” then all is good. Best of luck to you!
Is anyone’s withdraw button gone yet?
If you’re reading the 2028 thread, I don’t think there was a link to accepted/denied, but everyone’s withdraw button disappeared around midday on decision day. Most likely, when decisions were fully uploaded to the system.
