Rice Class of 2030 Official RD Thread

One thing I saw on Reddit hours ago was this:

https://riceadmission.rice.edu/register/?id=3094e6f9-66b8-46f8-813d-be5276ec958c

They speculate that it might be a good sign if you log into your portal then click the link, it will autofill your information on the admitted student first name, admitted student last name, and admitted student email locked fields :man_shrugging:

idk man lets just wait

Love astrology! Looks like I am autofilled. Is everyone getting that?

i have all the things lol. hoping for the best

Is it only for that day? If so, it says “registration is not yet available” for me, and other dates and times don’t autopopulate for me at all, prospective or admitted.

Yesterday it was working and auto-populated all the info, but today it is “Registration is not available”

Was working this morning, but got a similar message now. One nuance, mine says “Registration is not yet available.”

mb, my one also says “yet” in it; same as what you two are seeing

this one fills my demographic info but my 3 major choices are blank, anybody wanna try? riceadmission.rice.edu/register/?id=f8fb4e16-7d16-4903-af93-7b6f66432ab4

mine says registration not yet available now too

it only shows my email and option to logout, can u check again?

The withdraw button went away for me. Can you guys see it?

same, cant see it

I can’t see it either.

wait this just shows this

Is this true??

Yo same, it doesn’t say “registration is not yet available” anymore

I didnt even pay for the application fee, so an auto reject?

i got deferred in ed so it shows that rn

If domestic, no.

If international, yes. Rice’s official policy is that international applicants aren’t eligible for fee waivers, even if it came from the Common App. I had to ask about it the same hour my portal was created because I saw their admissions FAQs page and the Awaiting status in my application checklist. The associate director of operations responded to my email with, “To complete your application, you will need to pay the application fee.”
