Rice Transfer Admission Rate

I’m finding Rice more and more appealing, but before I go any further, I want reassurance that the acceptance rate for transfers is not abysmally low. Does anyone have the current data? The following are all I could find on a quick Google search

http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~instresr/ricestatistics/Pages/select99.html

http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~instresr/ricestatistics/Pages/select04.html#Transfer

Thanks

They receive, on average, 400 applications, and provide slightly over 100 offers of admission.

Hey, thanks.

Also, what is the geographic breakdown of the student body (couldn’t find this info anywhere)? I read somewhere that it’s ~50% in-state, but I’m curious about the % of students from the Northeast and Midwest. It would also be helpful to know which among the 100 or so admitted students are applied from out-of-state. I do know that it’s harder to get if one is in-state.

That’s great.

rice has flying cacaroaches!!

Seriously? Are they like a Houston thing? I don’t what is worse, flying cacaroaches or the 10 degree weather I am stuck in right now…

i dont know if its a houston thing, cuz i heard central florida also has flying cacaroaches lol

Rice has 559 undergrad humanities majors.
My current school, Arizona St., has over 900 english majors (my major).

I think I will be happier after I transfer.

Rice is an awesome school, just be careful: the size of its humanities departments prevent them from being the most stellar ones out there, but they are excellent nonetheless.
