Howdy everyone! Congratulations to all who have been accepted so far, and for those who were not, I am sure that you will be headed someplace fantastic regardless. I matriculated to Rice as a transfer student in fall of 2018, and will be one of the hosts of the webinar on the 14th. I have not yet received all of the details about the webinar from the transfer student association president (I am the treasurer), but I hope you will all be joining us! Hi everyone, I am a student who is currently waitlisted for freshman admissions for the class of 2024, and I wanted to get a good idea of what accepted student stats were for transfers? Also, what/how many essays do we have to write for the Rice transfer application? For first-year students, we had to do the Common App personal essay, alongside 3 personal response questions.

I am new to this thread. Has anyone not received a decision yet? I am still waiting for one. I got contacted by the admission office to submit my final grades for spring 2020 (even though they are not a requirement). Does anyone knows what this means? thanks!
It means send them the grades. You must still be in the running. The transfer admission process must not be over yet. Rice may be waiting for a response from outstanding offers before making any more. Also express your continuing interest in transferring to Rice if you are serious about attending if admitted…
Does anyone know if transfers are guaranteed on campus housing next year?
In the past all incoming students, including transfers, were placed into on campus housing and were part of O (Orientation) Week. I assume this will be the case this year, but anything could change because of the pandemic. Returning upper classmen are the ones that can get kicked off campus for a year. Call the admissions office and ask.
