**Rice University 2016 Regular Decision Applicants!**

OH SNAP, ACCEPTED.

EFFF YES.

After the UChicago denial, WOOOOOOOOOOO

Rejected… Everything happens for a reason.

Apparently, they did send an email…mine showed up in my inbox at 5:01 pm CST, but I checked my Esther a couple of minutes before that.

rejected :’( so bummed…

they also list scholarships you won (if any)…look under the financial aid part

Waitlisted. Sigh.

What’s the Trustee Scholarship?

Ah, called it. Knew it would be today.

My buddy just texted me telling me he got in. He and another guy are the second and third people to get in from my school, ever (I was the first, not to brag). Considering I reviewed his essays a ton I’m really excited. Can’t wait to convince him to come in the fall now. :D

To all those accepted, congratulations! Join the RD admissions chat next week, and please come to Owl Days! Everyone here is super excited to show you guys how awesome life at Rice would be for you. We really hope to see you on campus soon, and for the next four years as well.

To those waitlisted, hope’s not lost. Send Rice updates on your application, letters of interest in attending Rice (they’ll be a lot more likely to take you if they know you’ll attend), etc. This year they are probably going to be using the waitlist a lot more since they over-enrolled last year, so you guys still have a chance! Last year’s waitlist wasn’t touched but I’d anticipate this year it’ll get some good use.

For those rejected, my sincerest condolences. I’m sure you were qualified for Rice, and the admissions office simply had to make an incredibly tough choice. Don’t worry, you guys will surely find a school you love, and you will end up there and be happier than you could imagine. As a poster above said, everything happens for a reason. Good luck.

Somehow Rice never received my MidYear report even though my other common app schools did. So rejection. Oh well! :)

Rejected. Anticipated so no disappointed. Congratulations to those who have been accepted! If you got rejected, remember: they rejected your application, not you. May everyone make the best of the opportunities available to them!

Rice was my third rejection today.
My essay was beyond great, so I guess numbers do play a large role.

rejected…

waitlisted…
Rice was one of my top choices…

wait…I didnt get an email and my esther account says the same thing as it has for the past month. I did not receive notification yet???

Go onto Esther → Admissions → Requirement → It’ll be listed under Application Status.

check the requirement section of the admission tab

Emails just went out…I feel a little cheated by CC since all I got was a Congratulations! on the Esther page and then the full letter by email, but hey!

But no Scholarships :P

Got into Rice! But I have a question. My ESTHER account says “No award information is available for you at this time, please contact the Office of Financial Aid if you have questions.” So this means I’ll have to wait a while before I can see what my financial aid package/merit scholarships are, right?

Just got my rejection email. :(

accepted with 27,000 a year in merit! visiting tomorrow!
