I wasnt a very bright student in High School. I was top 30% of my class and got a 1300 on my SAT. If I am majoring in Biochemistry and take 17 credits my freshman year and maintain a 4.0 GPA and try to transfer to Rice do they focus on SAT even if you have a 4.0 gpa in college. Also if i were to retake the SAT and get a 1600 or 1700 would my chances go up. I suck at taking standardized tests.
Do you mean 1300 on your SAT as in the old SAT format?
Be realistic with your courseload. 17 credits and maintaining a 4.0 GPA, in college, in Biochemistry, is very unlikely.
Consult with an advisor, figure out what schedule is best for you, to allow yourself more time to study and excel at number of classes appropriate for you.
Somewhere along the line, take the SAT and/or ACT again, try hard to get anything above 2100/32 and you’ll have a fighting chance.
