<p>2 questions:</p>

<p>Does Rice Admissions look at the SAT 1 writing score? most college websites have Rice’s averages out of 1600.</p>

<p>And Rice is my 1st choice. Im applying Early Decision next year. My cummulative GPA is about a 4.2, 3.8 unweighted. It has gone up each year. I got about a 2100 on my SAT, Math-720 CR-660 Writing- 720. 4 years sport, captain 2 been in a club since 6th grade community service and all that. From California pretty good public high school. How are my chances at getting accepted? Thanks</p>

<p>An adminssions officer told me that they started looking at the writing section this year. I think you are definitely a competitive applicant for admission. I applied this year with basically the same stats and ECs as you. We shall what happens soon.</p>
