<p>I hate to be mean but if you don’t think it’s not fair go back to Columbia and see how much their government gives you. You say immigrants work harder than anybody, I beg to differ on that too. I worked manual labor lifting and delivering furniture for twenty years so my wife could stay home and raise the kids. I now had to change professions due too the toll this took on me and we have a family income of $60000 and wish I had to worry about your situation.The U.S.government can only do so much so appreciate what you got and quit complaining.</p>
<p>tupacoda , don’t give up . I think you have been searching the wrong colleges for a guy with your abilities . It hurts to hear you say that immigrants work harder or take any jobs to get by . My husband was a teacher , now a cook for private sectors for many years and watching the benefits drop away year by year , it gets harder just to be working class. My D works all summer and of course , she has the loans and work-study . The same will be for my son even tough our EFC is low . Try to find other colleges --it’s not too late , rolling admission .</p>
