Has anyone ever heard of this one? What is/are the solution(s)?

Little Emily wants to plant tress totaling 5 rows. She wishes to plant 4 trees along each row. But she can only buy 10 trees from Lowes with the money given by her dad. She then thinks this is mission impossible. Can you help little Emily to come up with a solution?

Buy 10-x saplings, and use the rest of the money to buy x seeds for trees?

Or, perhaps there are other saplings around her house that she can just relocate.

On a related note, I have a pine tree outside of my house that I got in the third grade as an 8" tall sapling. Now it’s like 8’ high.

Simple. She finds a cheaper store.

if there is no cheaper store, she can buy 10 saplings, sell them for a profit, and so forth until she has enough.

What is a sapling? Why does she need those if she wants to plant a tree?

sapling is a little baby tree? :O

Sell them for a profit? Does Lowe’s have a discount on packs of 10 or a sale in general? lol.

There are several soulutions to that, but I can’t remember them off the top of my head. Give me a minute.

Trade in a cow for some magical beanstalk seeds.

Or

Here you go.

Thanks MosbyMarion. That works. A regular star works well too.

lol… I don’t like this problem. If you call those rows… well… I don’t think you can have rows that go in different directions and all be called rows. they’d be more like columns and rows.

and I’d much rather have 5 rows of 2 the normal way if I were little emily than that kind of a weird formation.

A’ight, here’s one for y’all:

What 7 letter word contains all 5 vowels with no repeat letters?

^That’s cheating :P.

and that’s not a riddle…

Scientists have proven that cats have more hair on one side then their other side. Some people believe that this is because when cats lay on their side they need insulation from the cold on the floor or ground. Which side of a cat has more hair?

The back? like not the stomach side
