Rider Merit Aid?

My child was accepted to Rider’s Acting for Film, Television and Theatre program, but the admission letter made no mention of any merit aid. Does that come later or does it just mean no aid is being offered? (I thought it supposedly came with the letter?)

It likely means either no merit aid is being offered or that scholarship details will be sent separately—sometimes they don’t appear in the initial admission letter.

I’d have to think you’re getting need or merit aid. I don’t see a CDS so I can’t tell you which - but if you have no need, you’ll likely get merit aid. You can ask admissions when it comes.

From the school:

At Rider University, we’re proud to offer generous scholarships and financial aid to 99% of our students. You will be automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when you apply and our financial aid offers are tailored to your unique needs and achievements.

Update: the aid came via a separate letter a couple days later. Thanks!
