Rieber Vista/Terrace Restroom Doors

I’m just curious if this is a problem with anyone in Rieber Vista or Terrace. Whenever I close the door in my restroom sometimes it slams. I think its partly jammed. But my suitemates on the other side have the same problem so whenever they close the door, its something you can hear. The noise isn’t deafening, but it is noticeable. Does anyone else have this in vista or terrace.

I lived in RV for a while, and that annoyed me a lot too.

But I found out the most brilliant idea recently, when I visited a friend at terrace. They duct-taped the metal that sticks out of the doors (that slide into the slot in the wall to close the door - kinda hard to explain) so that when the door opens/closes, it’s completely SILENT. Try it, it’s amazing how much of a difference it makes.

Yep. Duct Tape it, or just ask everyone to close the doors slowly (esp. @ night)

i have a question about vista and terrace rooms. compared to res halls, is it much quieter? can you still hear old faucets or people walking on the floors above you or people talking outside. how much of a difference is there?

much quieter, faucets/showers here and there and if people are talking immediately outside but other than that it’s increasingly less social so there aren’t people running around all day.

and for people who live in terrace, are there any negatives living above or near the rendevous restaurant

and are there positives or negatives to vista or terrace, which would lead one to prefer one over the other?

how about at night for the faucets, when you are sleeping, do you hear it if people are using it the floor above you?
