rigor of curriculum and AP's

So I got a five in the AP bio exam, but I BOMBED the chem AP (major in molecular bio lol!). So my question is this: I am going to take sophmore bio now, but can I take chem classes over the summer and do junior level chem next year? Also how much impact will my my chem score have on the transfer decision (planning to transfer as a junior to top 25 ranked schools)?

Are you an incoming freshman preparing to transfer two years in advance? Why are you worrying about AP scores now?

Your AP scores, along with your high school performance in general, won’t have a significant impact on junior transfer admissions. Sophomore transfers, yes, it will be considered, but not for you.

I agree with Jeydomz that I don’t understand the concern re AP scores for a transfer. I would go further to say that AP scores likely are not much of a factor in sophomore transfer admissions either. High school record-yes (GPA, rank, SAT/ACT scores if the transfer school considers them), but AP scores shouldn’t come into play.

Side issue (sort of): is your hs one of those which records AP scores right on your transcript? I hope not.
