rigorous course load?

I was just wondering, what constitutes a rigorous course load–a whole bunch of AP classes?
Also, does Yale consider the fact that some high school’s offer more AP classes than other schools?

Thanks

Yale looks at the high school’s profile and sees what is offered. If you go to a high school with no AP classes, it won’t be held against you. If you go to a high school with lots of AP classes, you’d better be taking lots of AP classes.

Taking classes at the local university or community college, where possible, is also viewed favorably as part of a rigorous course load.
