<p>This year (my Junior year) I took various honors classes, AP Econ, AP Calc AB, and APUSH. I will self study AP Bio as well. These will constitute the only 5 AP tests I will have taken.</p>
<p>Is this a manageable senior courseload?</p>
<p>AP Calculus BC
AP Chemistry
AP Physics (I think it is Physics B, but I will be one of a handful of seniors in Calc BC, so…?)
AP English L+C
AP Government
Honors Anatomy and Physiology (This class is HARD, a lot of memorization, and weighted as an AP)
[Honors Band] OR [AP Psychology + Band independent study]</p>
<p>If I take AP Psychology, my GPA will likely put me at #1 in the class.</p>
<p>If I take Honors Band as I did this past year, I will likely be at #2-4.</p>
<p>Is this really important? Will it look bad to “downgrade” from Honors Band junior year to Academic band I.S.??</p>
<p>Our school does valedictorian status weirdly, so there will probably be about 15 valedictorians (!).</p>
<p>Don’t worry about band, no one gives a crap which band you take, “honors” or not.</p>
<p>Calc- Study hard and pay attention, if you are good at math you will be fine
AP Chem- Not the hardest AP but def. in the top 3, but very manageable if you stay on task and pay attention
Physics- One of the hardest AP’s, be prepared to work really hard to get a good grade here.
AP English- This will make or break your “manageability” so to speak. The other classes will require time every day for review/homework, but english will be a grind. It won’t be hard, but it will just consume your time reading hundreds of pages and writing so many papers. This will start to cannibalize time that could be spent on other subjects.</p>
<p>AP Psych is one of the easiest Ap’s.</p>
<p>The rest is subjective really.</p>
<p>I say take AP Psychology. Different schools call bands different things, so colleges don’t even know the difference between the bands. Since the band you take doesn’t matter, go for valedictorian!</p>

<p>Thanks! I was just wondering because band is a pretty big part of my ECs, but I think I will go for #1 in the class (even though I won’t know because my school does not tell you, just sends it to your colleges). Anyways, SAT tomorrow is of utmost importance.</p>
