For the first part of the course I’ve been webcasting so I could sleep in and its been working out just fine lol.

For the next section though with Rine, I have heard he writes stuff on the board before hand. Will the boards be shown in the webcast with sufficient time so I can write it down and continue to webcast from home or do I actually (gasp) have to start going to lecture? Thanks!

I think it depends on him. I know that Fisher, who teaches in the Fall writes a ton of stuff on the board before lecture, and at first the webcast didn’t always show every single board. But he made a request to the webcaster to do so. So I guess if Rine wants to have them shown, then he will do that. Otherwise…it’s up to the webcaster.

didn’t rine’s laptop get stolen?

lol a few years ago

how hard was that midterm by the way damn

i didnt think it was that bad compared to the 08, 09 practice ones from Malkin. unless youre being sarcastic lol…

the time was certainly crunched though.

for the photosynthesis worksheet due this week, what colors were the 3 carotenoids on the chromatography strip in order from solvent front to baseline?

i have my strip but the colors have long faded and i cant see them although i had atleast marked the Rfs, lol.

the carotenoids were all yellow.

question though, i heard from my ugsi that the class itself is curved at the end of the semester, but that the midterms aren’t. how much is that curve–does it help at all?

Rine pretty much covers all the boards with information, even the hidden boards. I found that in lecture there was barely enough time to copy it all down. You could always pause the webcast if it’s going too fast… But it should be doable through webcast. Sometimes it might be a bit blurry though. But you could always double check your notes with a friend or something.
