Quiet Sunday morning here and my daughter and I were discussing ringtones. My son found my current tone for himself and sent it to me; it is the theme to the Muppet Show. When my phone goes off, as it did once after I had turned it back on once my plane landed, people start humming the song It is a cheery tune and makes people smile; that said, my daughter thinks it is annoying.

My husband has been using the same ringtone for years and won’t change; it is the James Bond theme song.

What is your ringtone and do you use different tones for different callers? My son has caller groups, each with their own tone and I have threatened to do the same, just haven’t gotten around to it.

At one point, D recorded herself imitating another recording we had of her at about age 3 saying “MOOOMMMMYYYYY, I NEEEEEDDDDD YOUUUUUUUU” and I set that as a ringtone for her. It was hysterical. I lost it when I switched phones and since then nobody has had a special ringtone.

My son also picked his ringtone on my phone. It’s “Are you a Man or are you a Muppet?”. It is so appropriate for him. He is 17, just on the verge of being a man (or at least a few years from it).

My Daughter’s ringtone is “when you wish upon a star”. My older son’s is the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean. My Husband’s is “Fanfare for Common Man” by Copeland. The rest of the world will vary based on the season. This summer was “Summertime” from Porgy and Bess. October was “night on Bald Mountain”. I am working on December’s today!
