She was so far ahead of the times. Her no bs approach to talking about all things human sexuality was a stark contrast to everything else around that whispered and spoke in euphemisms - my favorite was when she said “if you aren’t comfortable enough to talk about sex you’re not mature enough to have it!” She was one of the good ones.

I remember listening to her in the studio in the middle of the night in grad school. She was great.

And Shannen Doherty died today. She fought breast cancer for a very long time.

As a breast cancer survivor, this one really hurts. I am sad for Dr. Ruth and Richard Simmons, too, of course, but bc deaths hit close to home for me
