Truly a great man…game 6 WS 1986, 2 out ,nobody on,bottom of the 10th, he laces a single to center to keep the Mets hopes alive, and we all know what followed. ;)

He was the final piece of the puzzle for the Mets of 1985-1989… Rest in peace ’ Kid’

Well known as an all round good guy here in So Cal. He went to High School here in Fullerton and, before signing for the Expos, actually signed a letter of intent to play football as a quarterback for UCLA.

Attended many of those games back then, and also was lucky enough to attend Game 7 of the 1986 WS. Huge thrill. Gary Carter was always a class guy. I’ll always remember him smiling.
