As a 12 year old I got to meet Jerry. My dad’s company was a local sponsor of a national tour for Mr. West. My dad was a basketball ref on the side so was chosen to chauffeur him to his various appearances. So I rode along with them. That was a very memorable day for me. My big regret is that I have lost the photo he autographed with a nice personal note to me.

Within the last few weeks we have lost Jerry West, Bill Walton and Chet “the Jet” Walker. All great college/NBA players. Very sad.
